Joel is the Senior Portfolio Strategist for Sage Wealth Advisory, LLC. With over 30 years experience in the industry, he has an extensive background in wealth management. Most recently, he was the Chief Investment Officer for 18 years at a mid-sized private bank. In his work at Sage Wealth Advisory, LLC he is focused on security selection, asset allocation and implementation for our clients. In his career Joel has primarily worked with individuals and families, non-profits and municipal entities to meet their investment management and (as applicable) planning needs. Joel has worked with large national and mid-sized private banks. Joel earned a Masters degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Minnesota. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

When he’s not working or reading the Wall Street Journal, Joel loves spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also spends his time at his cabin, fishing and enjoying local bike trails.
